The Urban Series: Travel Routes

From Sketchbook to Ink Drawings I gather ideas from walks around Urban London which is a metropolis that has roots in travel as an experience and where artists voices are transposed as graffiti hidden among the scaffolding of a city constantly growing finding that zone in a walk is where I begin to mind map.

I keep old works to reuse later some as collage, for a layered effect. My Ink drawings a combination of intuitive mark making influenced by artist J.R Peneck and from photographs I take during many walking field trips inspired from many walks around my city.

 This high-contrast mixed media work on 280gsm paper serves as a central map of my psychogeographic practice.
